\n\n Your new company Our client is a leading defendant law firm who is now seeking an experienced Solicitor/Supervisor to join its expanding EL/PL team. The team manages employers' liability and public liability claims up to £100k, with supervisors and senior lawyers taking on more complex, higher‑value work. \n \nYour new role \nThis Casualty Injury Supervisor will see you:Team Leadership & Supervision: \n\n\n\t • Direct supervision of a small team of Paralegals handling volume litigated EL/PL claims.\n\t, • Deliver technical supervision and guidance to ensure high‑quality file handling.\n\t, • Conduct performance and interim reviews, manage absence, and maintain team wellbeing.\n\t, • Pass information and communications from senior management.\n\t, • Coach and develop team members, supporting their progress through the firm's career framework.\n\t, • Monitor the team's financial performance, ensuring targets are consistently achieved.\n\t, • Ensure cases are progressed proactively and concluded efficiently in line with deadlines.\n\t, • Maintain compliance, addressing emerging risk issues and escalating to the Team Partner where appropriate.\n\t, • Allocate work effectively based on skills, technical ability and commercial considerations.\n\t, • Manage complaints and escalated risk issues in a timely, professional manner.\n\n\n \nTechnical & Client‑Facing Work \n\n\n\t • Act as a key point of contact for clients, demonstrating strong technical knowledge and professionalism.\n\t, • Support business development activities, including attending marketing events, client training, legal clinics and shadowing days.\n\t, • Manage a small caseload of mixed‑value EL/PL claims.\n\t, • Maintain awareness of firm strategy and contribute positively to team culture.\n\t, • Continue technical development through training, reading and participation in professional learning opportunities.\n\t, • Handle confidential information in accordance with data‑security protocols\n\n\n \n \nWhat you'll need to succeed \n\n\n\t • Qualified solicitor (Essential)\n\t, • Experience handling EL/PL, personal injury or comparable litigation caseloads.\n\t, • Strong compliance history with client SLAs, KPIs and internal protocols.\n\t, • Excellent management skills, including motivating, coaching and mentoring colleagues at all levels.\n\t, • Solid IT proficiency with strong working knowledge of Word and Excel.\n\t, • Exceptional organisational and analytical skills\n\t, • Commercial awareness\n\t, • Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in client communication.\n\t, • Strong written and verbal communication skills.\n\n\n \nWhat you'll get in return \n\n\n\t • Competitive salary (up to £50,000 + bonus)\n\t, • High levels of flexibility and genuine work/life balance.\n\t, • Structured opportunities for progression, including access to professional development funding.\n\t, • A diverse, inclusive and supportive culture where applicants from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply-even if every requirement isn't met.\n\n\n \nWhat you need to do now \nIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV.
