Job Description Position Summary The Inventory & Costing Analyst plays a critical role in supporting Sprecher Brewing Company’s manufacturing and financial operations by ensuring accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and margin analysis. This role partners closely with Brewing, Production, and Operations teams to analyze costs, improve processes, and provide actionable insights that support profitability and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in manufacturing or food & beverage environment and has Manufacturing/Finance ERP experience, preferably Dynamics NAV 2018/Dynamics 365 Business Central. Key Responsibilities Cost Accounting & Analysis • Develop, maintain, and analyze standard costs for raw materials, packaging, labor, and manufacturing overhead in a food & beverage production environment., • Perform detailed variance analysis (material, labor, and overhead), including yield, usage, and efficiency variances, and investigate significant fluctuations., • Prepare product cost and margin analyses to support pricing, forecasting, and profitability decisions across SKUs and product lines., • Oversee inventory costing, valuation, and reconciliation for raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods., • Ensure accurate inventory transactions and costing within the ERP system., • Support and participate in physical inventory counts and cycle count programs across brewery and warehouse locations., • Partner with Brewing, Production, and Operations teams to understand cost drivers and identify efficiency improvements., • Track production yields, losses, and manufacturing efficiencies., • Assist with BOM/recipe setup, maintenance, and accuracy in ERP systems., • Serve as the primary lead for Dynamics NAV 2018/Dynamics 365 Business Central for Finance modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Inventory Management., • Support and analyze business processes across all key Dynamics NAV 2018/Dynamics 365 Business Central functional areas, including Finance, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing., • Work closely with IT and external partners to manage system integrations, understand business needs and drive process optimization across various modules., • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience., • 3–5+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment; food & beverage industry experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated hands-on expertise with standard costing, variance analysis, and bill of materials (BOM) structures, including inventory accounting, inventory valuation, and period-end close activities., • Strong functional expertise with ERP systems, specifically, Dynamics NAV 2018/Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, with proven experience with implementation, configuration, and ongoing support of Finance modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable., • Experience working with cost accounting, inventory management, and production costing processes with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including troubleshooting transactional and posting issues., • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills, with the ability to translate complex financial and system concepts into clear business requirements., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, including Finance, Operations, IT, and external implementation partners., • Competitive salary, • Annual bonus, • Health, Vison, Dental, and Life insurance, • 401k and 401k matching, • PTO Disclaimer: This job description indicates the general nature and level of work expected of the job candidate.
