Job Description Position Summary The Site Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management of construction activities on-site. This position ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to quality standards. The Site Supervisor coordinates trades, manages site logistics, and serves as the company’s representative in the field — maintaining strong communication with the Project Manager, subcontractors, and clients to deliver an exceptional building experience. Core Responsibilities 1. Daily Site Management • Oversee all on-site construction operations from mobilization through final walkthrough., • Plan, coordinate, and direct subcontractors and field crews to meet daily and weekly goals., • Verify materials, equipment, and labor are available as needed to maintain progress., • Ensure site cleanliness, organization, and compliance with company standards., • Proactively identify and resolve field issues to prevent delays or cost impacts. 2. Schedule & Coordination • Work with the Project Manager to develop and maintain project schedules., • Sequence trades logically to ensure smooth workflow and minimize downtime., • Track progress against milestones and communicate updates to the office., • Coordinate inspections, deliveries, and utility hookups., • Adjust site activities in response to weather, material availability, or unforeseen conditions. 3. Quality Control • Inspect work for compliance with plans, specifications, and company quality expectations., • Review and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and submittals., • Communicate design or field discrepancies promptly for resolution., • Ensure craftsmanship and finish quality align with the firm’s standards for both residential and commercial work. 4. Safety & Compliance • Promote a strong safety culture on the jobsite — lead by example., • Conduct daily or weekly safety meetings and enforce OSHA and company safety rules., • Verify subcontractors maintain required safety gear, signage, and fall protection., • Document incidents and near-misses and communicate them to company leadership., • Maintain all required permits and inspection records on-site. 5. Communication & Documentation • Serve as the main on-site contact for the Project Manager, subcontractors, and occasionally the client., • Maintain daily logs including manpower, deliveries, weather, and progress photos., • Record change orders, field adjustments, and verbal directives accurately., • Attend and contribute to weekly project meetings (field or virtual)., • Keep open, professional communication with the office and client representatives. 6. Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination • Schedule and supervise subcontractor activities to ensure scope completion and quality., • Confirm all trades have up-to-date insurance, safety, and permit documentation., • Verify delivery and installation of materials according to approved specifications., • Assist with material take-offs or ordering as directed by the Project Manager., • Support field verification for invoicing and progress billing accuracy. 7. Client & Team Relations • Represent the company professionally on-site with clients, neighbors, and inspectors., • Facilitate occasional site walkthroughs with clients, design staff, or owners., • Maintain a courteous, solutions-oriented approach even during high-pressure situations., • Foster teamwork between trades, designers, and office staff to achieve shared goals. 8. Close-Out & Warranty • Lead punch-list completion and final inspection coordination., • Verify all systems are tested and operational prior to handoff., • Ensure project close-out documentation, keys, and warranties are submitted promptly., • Support post-completion warranty service coordination when needed. Qualifications • 5+ years of construction field experience with supervisory responsibilities., • Strong understanding of residential and light commercial construction methods and sequencing., • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and schedules., • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills., • Familiarity with job-site technology (phones, tablets, project management apps)., • Commitment to safety, quality, and professionalism., • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Reports To: Project Manager / Owner Location: Field-Based with Office Interaction Compensation: Hourly or Salary + Performance Incentives
