Marketing Manager\n\nBirmingham - In office 4 days (1 day from home)\n\n£45,000 - £55,000 DOE + Bens\n\nReporting to Head of Marketing\n\nThe Fuel Store is a fast-growing, technology-driven fuel and fleet management business processing 65 million litres of fuel annually and delivering £80m+ turnover with a lean team of circa 50 colleagues. They are seeking a hands-on Marketing Manager to lead campaign delivery, manage agency partners and drive measurable commercial growth across multiple channels.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nLead delivery of the digital acquisition and ABM programme\n\nOwn the preparation and quality of audience lists, inputs and briefing materials for our agency partners.\n\nManage approvals, content supply and platform access to keep campaigns moving without delays.\n\nMonitor performance reports and track CPL, engagement and pipeline signals, flagging issues and opportunities.\n\nBuild strong working relationships with other departments, most importantly Sales and Account Management to ensure marketing insights are acted on quickly.\n\nManage paid media, SEO and website activity\n\nAct as the primary day-to-day contact for our agency, ensuring they have the information, content and data they need to deliver.\n\nMaintain a well-organised, up-to-date asset library across all channels.\n\nTake ownership of landing page updates, content reviews and website amendments, working with the agency to implement changes accurately and promptly.\n\nOversee search term performance, keyword lists and SEO updates, coordinating with the agency to keep our visibility strong.\n\nDrive content and creative delivery\n\nBrief and manage our freelance writer and agency on blogs, posts and website content, ensuring output is on-brand and on time.\n\nSource subject matter from across the business to create accurate, relevant and commercially useful content.\n\nReview creative drafts, compile consolidated feedback and manage revisions through to sign-off.\n\nManage content publishing, uploads and asset organisation across all platforms and repositories.\n\nSales enablement and lead nurturing\n\nBuild, test and optimise email nurture sequences across the pipeline.\n\nKeep collateral, case studies and presentations current, accurate and consistently on-brand.\n\nEnsure the Sales team always has sharp, up-to-date tools that reflect our current proposition and messaging.\n\nData, CRM and reporting\n\nOwn CRM data quality, keeping fields, segments and contact records accurate and fit for campaign use.\n\nProduce regular reports, dashboards and performance updates.\n\nUse campaign and customer data to generate insight, identify patterns and spot opportunities to improve targeting, engagement and commercial outcomes.\n\nMaintain lead lists, contact data and campaign records in a clean, structured and agency-ready state.\n\nRun the day-to-day marketing operation\n\nBe the operational hub of marketing: owning schedules, priorities and delivery across all active workstreams.\n\nEnsure clear, timely communication flows between internal teams and agency partners.\n\nKeep tasks, deadlines and projects organised with a consistent system that the whole team can rely on.\n\nKeep the Head of Marketing, and other key stakeholders, fully sighted on progress, blockers and opportunities as they arise.\n\nREQUIREMENTS:\n\nTo have the ability to contribute to The Fuel Store’s success, you will need the following knowledge, skills and experience:\n\nProven experience in a generalist marketing role, with a track record of delivering across multiple channels.\n\nExcellent organisation and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball.\n\nStrong written communication skills and the ability to produce clear, professional copy and briefs.\n\nConfidence working with CRM systems, email platforms, social media channels and marketing reporting tools.\n\nA self-starter who takes ownership, works with pace and doesn’t need to be managed closely.\n\nCommercial awareness and genuine curiosity about how marketing drives business growth.\n\nIntellectually curious about how marketing is evolving, particularly in automation, AI and data-led decision making.\n\nA collaborative style and the credibility to work confidently with internal stakeholders, agency partners and senior leadership.\n\nConfidence to challenge constructively, bringing informed recommendations and alternative perspectives when appropriate.\n\nYOU SHOULD APPLY IF YOU:\n\nTake pride in spotting opportunities and feel comfortable in turning them into business enhancing solutions.\n\nThrive in a fast-paced, growing business where your ideas and actions directly influence success.\n\nAre naturally curious, proactive, and love tackling challenges with creativity and energy.\n\nWant to keep learning, investing in your own development while also contributing to wider colleague growth.\n\nAre ambitious and see this role as a platform to grow into broader marketing or commercial leadership as the business scales.\n\nWant to be part of a forward-thinking, people-driven team that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.\n\nOUR CULTURE\n\nTFS are in the simplicity business and we are building a team, who look at the world a little differently.
