Job DescriptionJob Title: Production Coordinator Job Description The Production Coordinator provides bilingual administrative and operational support to the manufacturing and production teams, ensuring that daily operations run smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you act as a key liaison between production staff, department heads, and support teams such as supply chain, quality assurance, and maintenance. You manage timekeeping and employee data in Paylocity, prepare production and KPI reports, and help coordinate schedules, training, and process improvements. Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish, along with proficiency in Excel and Word, are essential to succeed in this position. Responsibilities • Support the Plant Director by creating reports, records, and documentation, including managing expense reports and receipts for employees and plant leadership., • Assist the Production Manager by gathering, verifying, and reviewing production data entry to generate accurate production reports., • Support Department Supervisors by collecting and organizing PTO requests and other employee forms., • Verify employee punches and reconcile them with the daily schedule, completing timecard review checklists to ensure accuracy., • Prepare detailed documentation for one-on-one meetings and disciplinary actions for supervisors to review with employees., • Assist Planning and Production Managers with scheduling key production personnel to meet operational needs., • Support the Plant Director with data entry for key performance indicators (KPIs), including creating and distributing overtime tracking, absence tracking, and attendance analysis., • Assist the production team by coordinating and supporting any needed training activities., • Review adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and support the creation and documentation of new SOPs as needed., • Coordinate with product development or related stakeholders on plant trials and new product training requirements., • Facilitate communication within the production team and between production and other departments in the facility., • Collect, label, and store product and packaging samples as requested, ensuring proper handling and documentation., • Support the Plant Director and Production Manager on process improvement projects and tests, including data collection and record keeping., • Document employees’ activities and meeting notes as requested by the Plant Director., • Perform record keeping and support tasks on production lines during tests or other activities as requested by the Plant Director., • Maintain accurate employee data, timekeeping, and benefits information in Paylocity and related systems., • Provide support to production leads by covering breaks or short absences when needed., • Plan and coordinate schedules for production activities and personnel, ensuring alignment with production goals., • Perform data entry for production planning, scheduling, and documentation to support efficient manufacturing operations., • Organize and maintain production records, forms, and documentation in a clear and accessible manner.Essential Skills, • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with strong written and oral communication skills., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word, with 1–3 years of experience using Microsoft Office., • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, with at least 2 years of related experience., • Ability to use manufacturing software and computer systems for data entry, reporting, and timekeeping., • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines., • High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and quality in data and documentation., • Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders across departments., • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously., • Capability to maintain accurate employee data, timekeeping, and benefits information using Paylocity or similar systems.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • High school diploma or equivalent education is desirable., • General computer literacy and comfort working with digital tools and systems., • Familiarity with production planning, scheduling, and documentation processes., • Experience working in a manufacturing or bakery environment is an advantage., • Ability to support training coordination and SOP documentation within a production setting., • Comfort working with key performance indicators (KPIs), overtime tracking, and attendance reporting.Why Work Here? You interact regularly with production lines, supervisors, and support departments, using computers, manufacturing software, and Microsoft Office tools throughout the day. The position involves working on-site in a plant setting, where adherence to facility procedures and safety protocols is essential. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South San Francisco, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
