About the Role Teachers at City of Birmingham School play a crucial role in creating high-quality, engaging and accessible learning experiences for pupils with a wide range of social, emotional and behavioural needs. You will deliver a relevant, differentiated curriculum that supports pupils to make strong progress both academically and personally.In this role, you will contribute to planning, assessment and reporting, ensuring that teaching aligns with school aims and meets internal and external quality standards. You will maintain accurate records, monitor pupil development, and support pupils in achieving personal excellence. Collaboration is central to the role, and you will work closely with colleagues, parents/carers, and external agencies to promote pupil engagement, safeguard welfare and remove barriers to learning. You will uphold the Teacher Standards, contribute to whole-school development, and engage positively in professional learning. As part of the school's inclusive ethos, you will support equality of opportunity, promote positive behaviour and apply effective behaviour management strategies to ensure that learning can take place.
